Prior to his entrepreneurial successes, Simon started his career in advertising and marketing agencies. In 2000 he joined British Telecom Yellow Pages to help develop He later ran the business division of O2 for five years - during which the size of the business doubled. He co-founded Wayra Europe, the business accelerator that belongs to Telefonica. The fund he managed invested in 234 fast-growth digital businesses during his tenure.Simon is also a serial entrepreneur - he helped co-found and scale-up One Water,, and The Local Data Company. He is an investor in,,, and has a portfolio of Non-Exec and Board Advisor roles including being Entrepreneur in Residence for the UK Government, reporting to the Dept for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
